Improvement of Livelihoods:
Fifteen (15) Women Income and Savings Group (WISG) were formed at four Upazila. In
accordance with the work plan version II, WorldFish field team with the support from the
government Department of Livestock Services (DLS) conducted one-day basic training on
improved chicken rearing where 431 women participated from the project beneficiary households. Besides 29 beneficiaries who could not attended the formal training due to unavoidable circumstances received special orientation. Total 454 BHHs have received start-up support (chicken house and chicken) to start improved chicken rearing. In addition, 257 illiterate women from 15 WISG participated the Basic Literacy course in 15 batches and attended in four lessons in Teknaf, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar Sadar, and Moheshkhali

Baseline survey
- Biodiversity, Responsible Fishing and better postharvest practices onboard for Communitybased Fisheries Conservation Group (CFCG)
- Importance of government-imposed ban on fishing (65 days for marine fishing and 22-day for brood Hilsha fishing) for CFCG members
Result
Basic Nutrition Training for fishermen from the Community-based Fisheries Conservation Group (CFCG), and courtyard Module for Maternal Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) group.
